The brand-new Sand Hill Elementary School is officially completed and ready for students, faculty and staff to use when they return to the classroom on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
However, the doors of the school will be open, for a couple of hours before the first day of class, for everyone to get a sneak peek of the newly constructed facility. On Monday, August 18, 2025, from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm, students, their parents, alumni and community members are invited to celebrate an exciting, new beginning, together, at the Sand Hill Elementary Community Open House. Students can also meet the new principal, their teacher, drop off school supplies and explore community resources during the get-together.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, August 15, 2025, to formally commemorate the opening of the state-of-the-art facility, marking a new chapter for the rural Marshall County school.
